The Lord Lieutenant, Sheriff Iona McDonald OBE, joined the Provost and Depute Provost of South Ayrshire and the Depute Provost of East Ayrshire at the Summer Concert of the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra which was held in Ayr Town Hall on Saturday 20th June 2026.

The concert was part of the orchestra’s regular summer programme and showcased an evening of traditional Scottish Fiddle music. 

 

The Lord Lieutenant also attended a Civic Reception for the Order of St John which the Provost of South Ayrshire hosted in the County Buildings on Thursday 25th June and at which the young people from the Orchestra provided the entertainment (pictured below)
