South Ayrshire Provost Iain Campbell raised the Commonwealth flag outside of County Buildings in Ayr this morning to mark Commonwealth Day 2026.

Provost Campbell opened the ceremony with a speech before Lord Lieutenant Sheriff Iona McDonald OBE read the Commonwealth Message from His Majesty King Charles III.  Councillor Brian Connolly, Leader of South Ayrshire Council read the Commonwealth Affirmation.
