Royal Anniversary Messages - 100th Birthday, Diamond and Platinum Weddings

The 100th Birthday of an individual or the Diamond, Blue Sapphire and Platinum Wedding Anniversaries of a couple are very special occasions. To celebrate these events and other similar occasions His Majesty The King sends congratulatory messages to the individuals concerned.

It is possible for this message to be presented by the Lord-Lieutenant, or one of her Deputies, as the representative of His Majesty. The Lieutenancy can arrange these congratulatory messages. In the case of wedding anniversaries, we require a copy of the marriage certificate as well as the full names and address of the couple. If a copy of the marriage certificate is not available we will require the wife's maiden name and the name of the church / venue where the marriage took place.

For 100th birthdays the DWP will contact the individual approx. 3 to 4 weeks before the date of his/her birthday and will either arrange a visit or request that they or their attorney complete the necessary form which enables them to request the congratulatory message.

Details of when and where the presentation is to take place should be provided as well as a contact name and telephone number for the individual arranging same.

Past experience has shown that the receipt of a special message from His Majesty The King, especially when presented by her personal representative, adds greatly to the celebration of these magnificent achievements and memorable events.
